Our brain needs a lot of nutrients to function and to keep us well. Eating well helps to reduce the risk of physical health problems like heart disease and diabetes. It also helps with sleeping patterns, energy levels, and our general health – enabling us to far better cope with the stresses of daily life, and to spot any potential scams.
We may have noticed that our mood often affects the types of food we choose, as well as how much we eat. We also need to be aware how some foods can lift our mood, energy levels, and concentration, while others can have the opposite effect.
For example, eating lots of fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, and whole grains can reduce our risk of some mental health conditions such as depression, while eating foods that are high in sugar and saturated fat may increase our risk.
Again, having a healthy, balanced diet plays an important role in our overall health and wellbeing. Our GP can direct us to an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) who can give us face-to-face support. Getting in touch with other people who have had challenges with healthy eating may also give us ideas on how to overcome our own challenges and improve our eating habits.

In summary, we need to watch our diet – and ensure that it is balanced, adequate, and nutritious, containing all the elements important for good health. This, too, will aid sound judgment and discernment – and optimize our ability to discern any scamming approach before falling headlong into a scam trap!
